Designing 21st Century Lessons and Curriculum

It’s foolish for a teacher go to go into a classroom without a plan. Putting a plan into action has so many positive effects on the classroom, one of which is that a plan facilitates integrating technology into the classroom. 

If you planned to do an art project in a classroom, you wouldn’t simply show up and do the project. You’d need to plan to have the right materials: paints, brushes, paint shirts, water, palettes, canvases. The same idea applies when integrating technology into the classroom. Planning lessons that involve the integration of technology helps educators have a framework in which to use the technology they have available. By planning, teachers decide on learning objectives and outcomes, what will be taught, and how technology can be used most effectively throughout the lesson.
